A Aaron Swartz Website

Civil Society Coordination 2.0

The activist Aaron Swartz said,
"It’s time to come into the light and, in the grand tradition of civil disobedience,
declare our opposition to this private theft of public culture.”

When building this website I quickly became aware of the frustrating problem of accessing scholarly articles on subjects of relevance to my site. It takes money and presenting "who your are" to even view knowledge.
This page is devoted to the work to make human knowledge available to everyone.

Freedom Of Information
is an extension of freedom of speech, a fundamental human right recognized in international law, which is today understood more generally as freedom of expression in any medium, be it orally, in writing, print, through the Internet or through art forms.

"There is no justice in following unjust laws."
Aaron Swartz

"Nothing is true, everything is permitted."
William S. Burroughs

Taren Stinebrickner-Kauffman is the founder of SomeOfUs and was the partner of internet activist Aaron Swartz until his death.

Kafkaesque
Comes from the author Franz Kafka
who said his books were to be burned upon his death
but his close friend, Max Brod, disregarded Kafka's request.
What became of his books is used as a tangled example of results of copywrite laws.
